Intermittent turn signal flashing

My signal switch has been intermittently flashing on my dash, when signalling left.

A typical day driving the truck:

I’m about to make a left hand turn, and signal left. The left dash arrow flashes normally, and the tail light signals normally.

I’m about to make a right hand turn, and signal right. The right dash arrow flashes normally, and the tail light signals normally.

Twenty minutes later, I am about to make another left hand turn, and I signal left. The left dash arrow now flashes rapidly, and the tail light is not operating.

Shortly after this turn, I proceed to signal right. The right dash arrow flashes normally, and the tail light signals normally.

Five minutes go by. I proceed to signal left. The left dash arrow now flashes normally, and the tail light functions normally.

Remedies I have tried.

• replacing left tail light bulbs
• Checking fuses under the hood

Any ideas?
