I was looking at leveling kits and some say that a spring compressor is required and some dont. I was wondering what the difference was? and I would prefer not to compress a spring, seems that would be alot easier.

I leveled my titan by simply adding the strut spacers in. Easy installment. I got an alignment but only because im putting on bigger tires with my body lift.

No spring compressor required. However, don't do what I did and just dive in. Read the instructions. Removal of the sway bar bolts make the install much easier (as listed in the instructions).

You should re-align anytime you make any height changes with more than 1" difference...
