That's a pretty slick looking unit you've got there. How long is the power cord on the X 2000? I see an air hose in the picture for the X 1500, does the X 2000 also come with an air hose? The second picture for the X 1500 actually looks like an X 2000.

Now for the obvious questions: How much? Is there a discount available for forum members?

I'm not too sure on the length of the power cord as I haven't received a sample in stock yet. But everything that comes in the portable version of the compressor are the hose with the gauge, battery cable clamps, and fittings. The X1500 and X2000 are similar, but the X2000 is larger and a higher performer.

Retail price:
QAX 1500: $250.00
QAX 1500SE (portable version): $380.00

QAX 2000: $270.00
QAX 2000SE (portable version): $410.00

Forum specials may come later as soon as I receive them in stock.

What is the difference in the portable version that makes it so much more expensive?

The only difference is that it comes with all the accessories that allows you to hook it up anywhere and carry around with in a carrying case. Whereas the hardmount version would have to be hardmounted inside your truck and doesn't come with the hose and battery cable clamps.
