Nissan has officially announced 2005 pricing information to their dealers. With the launch of the class leading Titan in 2004, Nissan not only earned the respect of the automotive press with numerous awards, they also put the competition on notice that Nissan is serious about the truck business. To that end, Nissan will continue to build momentum into 2005 with a variety of feature, quality and packaging enhancements to keep the Titan firmly ahead of the competition, all while maintaining their strong value-oriented position.

This announcement came October 14th, 2004. I have taken a couple of days to consider how we can best provide everyone with 2005 prices as I know so many have patiently waited. At this time, where Nissan has provided its dealers with the 2005 official prices, we still don’t have these prices formatted in our database build program, to quote each and every one of you just yet. Meanwhile, this hopefully will give you enough information to satisfy some curiosity.

With the launch of the 2005 vehicles, Easygate dampened tailgate assist and redesigned front seats with active head restraints have been made standard on all trims. Additionally, a new feature, vertical power sliding back glass with rear defroster, has been added as standard to all Titan Crew Cab models.

In addition, the following trim-level improvements have been made:

XE
• For enhanced bed protection, Spray-in Bed Liner is now available as an option ($450). On 2wd models, rear-wheel limited slip (ABLS) will be made available for the first time as part of a new Traction Package ($300).

SE
• A 6-Disc in-dash audio head unit has replaced the single CD system as standard equipment. As on XE models, rear-wheel limited slip (ABLS) is now optional as part of the Traction Pkg. Rear Proximity Sensors will be offered for the first time on SE (part of SE Popular Pkg.). SE Popular Package with Bench searing will receive an 8-way power driver’s seat.

LE
• Brushed aluminum-look accents have been added to the dash and center console to further enhance the LE’s upscale interior environment. Rear Proximity Sensors have also been added as standard, while rear-wheel limited slip has been added to all 2wd LE models. Additionally, front bench seating will now be optional to expand seating capacity to 6 passengers. Step Rails on King Cab models have moved from standard to optional.

Other Changes
• Off-Road Package on all 2wd models has been discontinued.
• Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) has been removed from the Big Tow Package and is now part of the Side Airbag Package on 2wd SE and 2wd LE models.
• New “V8 Titan” front door badging replaces front fender “Endurance V8” badging.
• New exterior color “Red Alert” (bright red) has replaced Sedona.
• New interior color “Steel” (grey) has replaced Sand/Steel.

The new MY05 Titan Invoice base prices are as follows:
(According to my analysis the average base price increase from 2004-2005 is about 1%)

• XE KC 2wd $20,474 - CC 2wd $23,051
• SE KC 2wd $22,418 - CC 2wd $24,677
• LE KC 2wd $26,440 - CC 2wd $28,971
• XE KC 4wd $23,366 - CC 4wd $25,943
• SE KC 4wd $25,310 - CC 4wd $27,570
• LE KC 4wd $29,197 - CC 4wd $31,728

That sounds nice. I wonder if those features can be added to an 04 Titan. I like the sould of that "easygate". I gave my talegate a workout (actually it gave me a workout) this week hunting and that feature is something I would be interested in. Rear power & heated glass sounds good too.

It says the CC SE is 24,677? It's that much cheaper than last years? Last years if I'm not mistaken starts at 26,700 right?
OK, you made me go look. I responded to this same comment/question on the "other site." I had stated that I can assure you that the cost difference went up about 1%, not down, from 04-05. So anyway, after looking it up, this is what I found.

04 SE CC 2wd- Base Invoice Price- $24,225

05 SE CC 2wd- Base Invoice Price- $24,677

So doing the math it actually went up .98168334886%

OK, I'm having a little fun here, anyway, it is close to 1% as you can see.
