Nissan USA Brochure 2016-nissan-titan-en.pdf

310 hp, 555 lb.ft Cummins, ASIN 6-spd with 3.916:1 gearing
390 hp, 401 lb.ft VK56VD, HG 7-spd with 3.357:1 gearing

  • I sincerely hope the 3.916:1 gears are an option for the gas Titan XD and Titan

Pro-4x receives the rear e-locker, ALL other models "make do" with an open rear diff and "active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS). No LSD, Posi or Anti-Spin is offered.

Trucks are heavy 6,986-7,480 lbs for a Crew Cab 4x4 Cummins. GVWR is 8,950-8,990. Payload as low as 1,470 lbs on the Platinum Reserve, up to 2,004 lbs on the Base Cummins, 2,500 lbs on the Base VK56VD. Towing 10,608 - 12,038 lbs (@ 10% tongue weight).

Fuel tank is either 98.4 liters or 118 liters, it seem Nissan cannot decide if the the tank is Imp or US gals.

Only the S trim and the base SV trim are available with 6-passenger seating.

Yes, however right about where it should be falling about mid point between comparable 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks. Also in comparison to those trucks it offers a lot more features that if available on the otherr trucks quickly raise the MSRP.

I've test driven a Pro-4X without the Luxury Package (no leather). Very impressed with the truck, the interior and seats are the best I've ever seen in a pickup. What I wasn't impressed with is the payload, the Pro-4X had a payload of only 1,488 lbs and the fully optioned SV on the lot was 1,543 lbs. For our use (family camping with a travel trailer) the minimum was 1,710 lbs, and 1,810 lbs was our target.

When looking at the average F-150 payload (~1,700 lbs) and the average Cummins 2500 payload (~2,300 lbs) the Titan XD either needs to lose 300-500 lbs or gain the same in rear axle GAWR.

When incentives comparable to the domestic trucks are applied to the Titan XD I feel it will be very competitive based on cost and value.

Based on the current payload of the Titan XD Nissan lost our sale. I'm taking delivery of a 6.7l Cummins 2500 this week.

Titan XD has proven to be a truck with a lot of issues from alignment, software, transmission, poor paint job, electrical, seats, and the list goes on
