Glad the worst is over and all is well...

Good heads up on the gen, where you live I would imagine it's almost second nature to have one, been meaning to get one myself. Nothing like posting on the PC at the TiTan site on generator power...
O yeah, you didn't mention- How's the TiTan?
Titan is in good shape, had it in garage :D The boat was outside and we cannot locate the boat cover anywhere. I guess the wind picked it up and took it off to who knows where!!!

As I was telling Jettech, it hards to get to upset when you see all the bad stuff going in this world. Never had a generator until this summer. Actually have lived here since 1966 and these are the first true hurricanes I have seen. Man when it rains it RAINS!!!
I'm up here in SC and we are starting to get hammered by the rain. Lucky its not too windy yet though. I don't think we will catch much but the rain. Least I hope not.

Get ready anyway Josh, because she was packing A LOT of rain, still some major floods going on down here.
Glad all is ok for ya Mike! When you start getting down, just think of the other guys, my folks lost everything in Charlie, and are not much closer then day 1 to getting things straightened out.
Yep, I got a guy who works for me who lost it all in Charlie. All that matters is everyone is in good health!!!!!
Glad to hear everyone is safe. Now time to dry out!!
We had some serious winds here as well being less than 40 miles from point of landing for Jeanne when she came ashore. We only lost power for about 18 hours and had no damage to our house other than my giant sat dish being ripped out(tapcons and all) and scratching up the side of the house.

The Titan and Murano had to weather the storm outside as we were just getting finished with moving stuff out of the old house.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.
Lost power here about 3pm est sunday. power restored tuesday late morning. I have lots of water standing, but fortunately at my residence there were no trees down or home damage. I was at work all through the night as the storm passed. Seemed to get the worst after the eye went over and we caught the south side of the storm as it moved north. At work it ripped the top 20 feet of the base radio antenna tower off and the local power sub-station literaly blew up.

Well were glad your ok Deest. The substation can be rebuilt but a Titan owner is a terrible thing to lose.
There are probably a lot of people who didn't get out of it soo good. Hope they get things back to normal as quickly as possible for everyone. We had an Ice storm 2 yrs ago and the power was out for 6 days. I thought I would go crazy. Trying to heat with small room heater and candles everywhere. had to close off most of the rooms just to keep warm enough in the kitchen and living room. dont want to go through that again. Losing power sucks.

Starting Day 4 without power, just a generator. But it is keeping the fridge cold and lights and fans running. :)
I am going to try to score me a window unit A/C today, the generator can handle that. This FL heat will make you melt!!! The titan has been used for more sight seeing trips lately (hint: A/C!!!)LOL
Too bad your not closer I know where you could get 2 window units on loan. My dad has a couple stored in a building at his place I think. I had to borrow one early in the summer when my central air went out.
