I have owned 4 new trucks in the last 10 years. I have owned Ford Ranger, F-150's , and Dodge Ram. Out of my previous trucks the only one I ever had with no problems at all was my Ranger back in 94. Only thing was it was a 4 banger. Talk about week. Loved the ride, had lots of room for a small truck. I had the extended cab XLT version. I had a big system in it you could hear a mile away. I grew out of that and traided up to 96 F-150 regular cab with In line 6 cylinder straight drive. Now this was a fun truck. Nice step up in power. In fact it had as much or more power than several V-8's I had driven. Traded that for 98 F-150 reg cab. Was alright truck but had a few issues while under warranty. Next I traided in for a 01 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. What can I say about this truck other than POS. I had soo many issues with this truck. When you buy a brand new vehicle you expect to not have problems. Well I did and the service I got from Dodge sucked. I practically had to threaten to drive my truck through the show room window to get it repaired. Only 1 month into owning this truck I started having engine trouble. I would be driving and all the sudden lose power and truck would lurch forward and backward. After 3 visits to dealership and several outbursts by me they agree there is a problem and keep it for 2 weeks. Took me talking to the manager to get a rental car to get back and forth to work. After getting back and driving for about 1 1/2 yrs I noticed a loss of power going up hills. I thought I was having same problem as before. Not this time though. This time my trasmission is slipping. Well I started looking. Drove an 04 Chevy (nice truck more than I wanted to spend), an 04 F-150, and a 04 Tundra. Out of these I had decided to get the Tundra. Even though it was smaller than I liked in the cab. The truck drove really well. Comfortable ride enough power(not a great deal but enough). My brother tells me hey check out a Titan. I say "check out what?". Hadn't even heard of a Titan. My brother is one of those guys that reads all the car and truck magazines and looks up specs on the internet. Well he tells me its a Nissan. I say nah thats ok. The only nissan truck I knew of was the Frontier. While I like the way the frontier looks it was smaller than what I wanted. So he talks me into going to look at the Titan. To be honest I really didn't like the way it looked on my first visit. I thought it was great size though. So I go back when they are open on Monday and test drive it. When I got in it I fell in love. I am 6' 5" tall and 315lbs. Needless to say I need space. This truck has it in abbundance. I don't like all the electric windows and power locks and seats. I always felt it was one more thing that could go bad. I found 1 King Cab XE on the lot exactly like I wanted without the Chrome front on it. The wife and I take for a drive. She loves it right away. Much smoother a ride than any of my previous trucks. She loved the seats and the room inside. I loved the room and the bed length. I wound up getting this truck for less than 22,000. I wasn't able to find a truck anywhere near this from the other big 3. I have had my Titan for over a month now and not a single issue has come up. I have had the windows tinted, Flowmaster Dual in and out exhaust installed, added splash guards from www.titanparts247.com. They fit great and keep my chrome exhaust tips from getting crap on them from the tires. This truck has soo much power you wouldn't believe. I know I was really suprised. Now when I pull into a parking lot I get soo many people complimenting me on it. The want to know all about it and look inside. People are going to notice this truck so get used to questions and show and tell. As I drive this truck I will keep you updated as to how it does.
