My 2007 Titan SE killed on Tuesday.

Swapped the relays and the truck did not kill but it did sputter some.

Purchased relays from the dealer for $4 a pop.

I'm running fine now, but on my way to work this morning I noticed the check engine light is on. I'll be checking the codes when I get home this evening.

Update:

This is the error http://www.obd-codes.com/p0430

I've reset the error and will wait and see if the error returns.

Update 2:

This morning the error has not returned but the sputtering has.

Dropped the Truck off at the dealer to have the recalled fuel level sensor replaced to see if that helps (doubtful).

Next Step:

Would and ECU reset help? Or should I just replace the IPDM?

Thanks for any help.

Hey BBF, Thanks for putting this up here too!

I am Robkar over on TT and if you send me a PM here (or there) I can get you the information for payment :)

Currently we know that this relay works for Armada, Frontiers, and of course the Titan. The cost is only $10 each with shipping, I still have over 100 relays and will order more when I get low.

Thanks!
Sup Robkar, Do you still have relays/ipdm's? I think I am in need of one or both. Please contact me here or email me at shall@gocats.org

Thanks for starting this thread. Last week I thought I ran out of gas the way the T was acting. Put gas in it, and it still wouldn't run right. It would run OK then loose all power then repeat. Limped it home, replaced the ECM relay and it seams to be OK for now. However my check engine light just came on today, haven't had it scanned at one of the supply chain stores but it just turned over 100K so I'm thinking time for plugs and/or o2 sensors.

ECU Relay (Updated Version) is available at your dealer for just $4. Buy one even if you don't need it! It's a great thing to have in the glove box the day it does go bad and need get stranded. Once I identified mine was the problem; back in April '13, it was permanently fixed in 5 minutes, as I had a few with me. ;)

Yep, that's the plan to buy a couple to have on hand. My dealer is selling them for just over $2.

Ipdm relay

I just wanted to thank you for the very imformative solution concerning the bad relay in the IPDM. Thanks to you I was able to replace it and get back on the road. Your a life saver for sure, keep up the good work. People like me need guys like you.

will the IPDM cause the truck to jerk while driving down the road? While im driving down the road the truck will start jerking like the trans is slipping but the RPMs don't jump up they stay constant. whats your thoughts thanks in advance.

Michael

ipdm relay

Michael, I can only tell you that my truck sputtered and shut off. And reading on the other posts about my same symptoms I found that the problem was in the IPDM which in my case had a recall for a faulty ecm relay inside the IPDM in the 2005 Titan. Check with nissan just provide your vin number and they will let you know if your truck is affected by any recall.
The person you may want to directly contact on this forum would most likely be "baseballfanz" his post helped me determine I had a faulty ecm relay. I hope this helps -J

2006 titan starting problem solved

THANKS FOR THIS GREAT FIX MY SON THOUGHT IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP BUT
AFTER REMOVING THE BED TO TAKE OUT PUMP WE DISCOVERED IT WAS
UNDER THE CAB. AND DIDN'T REALLY WANT TO SPEND $700.00 ON A MAYBE. SO I WENT TO THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RELAY
AND WENT FOR IT $2.00 AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER. GOT HOME AND IT TAKES ABOUT FIVE MINUTES TO REPLACE WITH INSTANT SUCESS. THANKS AGAIN.:huepf2-big::huepf2-big::huepf2-big:

ECU Relay location for 2008 Nissan Titan

My '08 Titan stopped running last week. Had it towed to the shop, Nissan dealership said that the Fuel Pump was faulty and wanted upwards of $1000 to fix it...I trailered it home to say the least.

Well, I have replaced the pump (haven't actually assembled everything but have the new pump connected) and the fuel pump is still not engaging during start up.

I found this thread and am hoping that it's a fix. My only issue is, I cannot find the ECU relay. Does anyone have a diagram that they could post or email me? ohyeah829@aol.com

Thank you again for this thread and help!

Attached are drawings showing the location of the ECM relay. However the ECM relay problem will not cause the fuel pump to not run when cranking the engine.

Have you checked to see if you are getting 12 volts to the fuel pump? If not check fuse #48 , a 15 amp, located in the IPDM. (look at the drawing I posted above for the fuse location) If the fuse is good, then the fuel pump relay may be bad. Check to see if you have power to the fuse when the Ign is on.The relay is inside the IPDM, but is not replaceable. You will have to replace the IPDM is the relay is bad.

First charge or replace the battery. It should read about 13.6 volts when charged. If you were getting voltage to the fuse but not to the pump then the relay is bad or you have a problem in the wiring from the IPDM to the pump.

Got another scenario. On the on dash display, there is a car with a key in the middle of it blinking. It never stops. Manual says it should stop blinking when the key is turned to the on position.

If the "board" is bad, would it never tell the fuel pump to engage?

Engine will not start with key button but cranks, It starts ok when I put key in the ignition what could this be ? also this just started shut the car off and open door and alarm goes off horn beeps..I changed battery in key fob that is ok,. any one have this problem? Thanks Men.....
