Hey guys I need some help. Two weeks ago I took my Titan to the dealership to have service done on my truck...they still have it and don't have clue as to what is wrong.
The problem started over the summer I first had a check engine code for the crankshaft pos sensor. At that time they replaced the sensor and said there was mud inside the bell housing causing the problem. Immediately after getting the truck back it threw the same code but now the slip light was coming on. I returned it to the dealership and again they said there was mud in there causing it to throw the code. Got it back and guess what the same thing happened again. This time they decided to be a little more thorough. So far they have not even mentioned anything about mud. They have checked all of the grounds, changed the engine wiring harness, checked the timing chain and crankshaft, replaced the reductor plate that the sensor reads and I'm not sure what else from there. I was told they have spent hours going through the data with nissan and still cannot isolate the problem.
Anyone have any idea what is going on here? The truck is still under warranty thankfully but what will happen if they can't find the problem?
